BIPOC Scholarships*
Bringing more diversity in our yoga program is an ongoing mission at Soma. In an effort to bridge the divide that has long existed within the yoga community between privilege and under-resourced populations, we are working to create more access and opportunity for communities that are underrepresented within our industry.
Our BIPOC Scholarship provides 50% off tuition for any student that identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color. We aim to provide specific support to new BIPOC teachers with the hope of further diversifying the leadership of the yoga industry. Recipients of the BIPOC Scholarship will be able to take unlimited classes at Soma for free throughout the entire training. They will also receive extra support to help bring yoga to underserved populations.

*To support diversity in yoga, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color can access this scholarship. We don’t assume that all who identify as BIPOC require or want financial support to access yoga. For those who do, we see this as step towards equity within a system that has predominantly failed communities of color.
